Mission & Outreach

The session and congregation of St. Mark support several programs that reach out into the local community, the state, the nation, and the world.

White Rock Center of Hope

The White Rock Center of Hope is a non-profit organization providing Emergency Aid and Steps to Self-Sufficiency to persons who live in the East Dallas (TX) zip codes 75218, 75228, 75238, and portions of 75214 and 75223.

Founded in 1988, the Center is supported by a community coalition of over 50 churches, civic and social organizations. Ninety-one percent of all donations go directly to help over 1,583 individuals each month. With only three paid employees, 250 volunteers staff the Center — giving over 2,500 hours of service each month.

Habitat for Humanity

For over 20 years, mission teams from St. Mark have worked to build affordable housing for families in need.

Previous mission trips for Habitat for Humanity have taken members of St Mark to Vicksburg, Mississippi, the Fair Park area of Dallas, Amarillo, TX, Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Glen Rose, TX and Taos, NM.

Austin Street Center

On the fifth Sunday of the months containing five Sundays, the members of St. Mark make sandwiches and bring snacks and cookies to the Austin Street Center in Dallas.

Presbyterian Children’s Homes & Services

Presbyterian Children’s Home & Services brings hope to the lives of more than 4,000 children and families each year with the help and talents of our dedicated volunteers. St. Mark helps by providing funds, supplies, and volunteers.

The Ministry of Hope

The Ministry of Hope is a Malawi, Africa based organization, founded and directed by Malawians. Ministry of Hope is best identified as a Community Based Orphan Ministry.  This program is a Christian response to the rising tide of orphaned, abandoned and HIV positive babies in Malawi.
