Inquirer’s Class

Who are Presbyterians? What do they believe? If you want a better understanding of what we’re all about, come to Pastor Rick’s Inquirer’s Class, Wednesdays at 6:30 in the parlor. The next class is Janary 11, 2012.

How do people become members of St. Mark Presbyterian Church?

By Profession of Faith and Baptism

A person who begins the Christian life does so through baptism, which is a symbol of God’s Grace through Jesus Christ. For a young person or adult this is also an opportunity to profess one’s faith. If God is leading you to this decision, the pastor will be happy to meet with you about this important step in your spiritual life.

By Transfer from Another Denomination

If you have been baptized into the Christian faith in another denomination, it is not necessary to be rebaptized to celebrate your spiritual growth.

You will be asked this question: As a disciple of Jesus Christ, will you support St. Mark and the Presbyterian Church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?

St. Mark will handle the details of notifying your former church of your transfer.

By Transfer from Another Presbyterian Church

The staff of St. Mark will make arrangements to transfer your membership
